Gas prices increase
2013-12-04

Less than two weeks ago regular unleaded gasoline sold for $3.09 a gallon at the Racetrac on Campbell Drive in Homestead. Today that price is $3.49. A 40-cent increase in less than two weeks is disgraceful. Simply put, there’s nothing in regard to oil prices or shipping costs that would facilitate such a huge increase. In fact, oil and gas prices on the commodities market are where they were two weeks ago.

The oil companies have no shame in sticking it to the consumer. Those who scream that “Drill, baby, drill” is a solution, either don’t understand that most oil obtained in the United States doesn’t stay here because it makes more money selling it overseas or they are being intellectually dishonest with the rest of us.
